Mrs. Nicole Poore’s 4th Grade classThrough a generous donation from the Virginia Banking Association, every ACES student (and family) is reading “The Lemonade War” by Jacqueline Davies throughout the month of February.  Parents were invited to participate in the kick-off event which included a reading of Chapter 1 by a Washington Redskins player.  They are also invited to participate in the fun by serving as a mystery reader in their child’s class. ACES has joined over 60 other school districts across the state who are participating in the Virginia Reads One Book program. We are excited to promote a school-wide culture of literacy with our families. We continue our #1 focus on increasing students’ reading levels and promoting a love of reading within every student.
