Assistant Principal

Assistant Principal Jennifer Ramey

Thank you for taking the time to visit my web page!  I was extremely excited and honored to begin as the Amelia County Elementary School Assistant Principal in September of 2017.  Prior to that, I served Amelia County Public Schools in the capacity of Amelia County High School Special Education Coordinator for the past six years, and High School Special Education teacher for five years prior to that.

I grew up in Amelia County, attended Amelia County Public Schools, graduated from Amelia County High School.  My parents and many family members still live in the county.  I am married to a wonderful husband, David, and have two sons, two step-daughters, and three grandchildren.  While I currently reside in Chesterfield County with my husband, I am proud to still be a part of the community through my work here at Amelia County Elementary School.

After graduation from high school, I began working full-time and soon found myself raising a family.  When my youngest child began attending Amelia County Elementary School, I began attending college to become a teacher.  In 2006, I graduated from Longwood University and began teaching at Amelia County High School.  Since that time, while working and raising a family, I have earned a Masters degree in Special Education through Longwood University and an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University.  I am currently in the dissertation stage of my Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction through Liberty University.

I am excited about the progress that Amelia County Elementary has made over the past few years and am eager to be a part of the continued growth as we continue to move forward as a team.  I am humbled and honored to be able to serve the community of Amelia County as your Amelia Elementary School Assistant Principal.
